Do together: Self portraits

A self portrait is the story of you. It’s an opportunity to be introspective, creative, and express who you are at the moment.

Spend some time with your girl creating self-portraits - one of her and one of you. Use any medium - paint, sketch, charcoal, pastels, collage, etc. - what speaks to you the most?

Have fun and when you are done, share them with each other and display them at home.

Read more about the benefits of self-portraiture for children.

We’d love to see your portraits and feature them in Her Guide, please share on social media and tag us or email a picture of your portrait to contact@herguideonline.com.

Here are some self-portraits from other girls and women to inspire you.
